What is a Home inspection?
A BR home inspection is an evaluation of the visible and accessible interior and exterior structure, systems and components.

What does a home inspection include?
Your report will include my findings of any material defects I discover in an easy to read format with recommendations. The BR home inspection will cover the following in the inspection: roof, exterior, basement, foundation, crawlspace & structure, heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, fireplace, attic, insulation & ventilation, doors, windows & interior. Please see our Standards of Practice for further details.

Why do I need a home inspection?

For the Home Buyer
A home is probably the largest purchase you will ever make, so it is important to understand the condition of your investment. A home inspection is not a prediction of future conditions and cannot reveal every concern that exist (or ever could exist), but it will significantly reduce your anxiety by arming you with the knowledge you need to make an informed home-buying decision.

For the Home Seller
A Move-In-Certified inspection informs you of any defects or problems with your home so that you can address them before prospective buyers discover them. You can then take the time you need to obtain reasonable repair estimates. Show prospective buyers that you are dealing in good faith. Justify your full asking price by having your home pre-inspected now.

What does an inspection cost?
Think about it – a home purchase is probably the biggest investment you’ll ever make. The home inspection is a small fraction of that cost, and will allow you to make an informed and confident decision that could last you a lifetime! Can you put a price on that?  I can, they start at $350.

Why can’t I do it myself?
This is your dream home, and staying objective in a situation where you may overlook certain defects may cost you more down the road. BR Home Inspection will provide a thorough unbiased inspection so you can buy your home with confidence!

Can a house fail a home inspection?
No! Properties will not fail a home inspection. The BR Home Inspection is not trying to scare you from buying a home, but simply reporting material defects and recommendations.

Do I have to be at the inspection?
No, but I would highly recommend you being there to benefit and fully understand any defects or recommendations during the inspection process. Also, you won’t be confused or surprised when you receive your report.
